[Onlinepicos] Math Jam Tuesday Jan 30
Math Olympiads
office at moems.org
Mon Jan 29 10:32:01 EST 2007
MOEMS' second virtual classroom on Teaching Problem Solving will be
held Tuesday, January 30 at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
Olympiad instructor Marshalyn Baker will present and discuss online
aspects of teaching of several classic Math Olympiad problems
exploring Factors and Multiples for grades 4-8.
The Math Olympiads (MOEMS) and the prestigious Art of Problem Solving
Web site (AoPS) have collaborated on this six-session series (called
Math Jams) for PICOs. Its moderated nature allows you to interact
with the MOEMS instructor during the session.
The schedule is posted both at our Web site, www.moems.org, under
Professional Development and at the AoPS Web site under Math Jams.

We at MOEMS are very excited over the potential of the Math Jams (and
also of the PICO message Board, "Just For PICOs") to help coaches
achieve excellence quickly, by letting us all talk to each other
frequently and quickly.
